The use of masks is no longer obligatory in costa rica
Since the new President Rodrigo Chaves took the position this May 08th, 2022. This news gives to visitors the freedom to move around without the use of face protection.
The strict use of masks and vaccination only applies to frontline public health care workers. For the rest of the population, use is voluntary, explained President Chaves.
